- Grounding the refrigeration dryer
All of our refrigeration dryers have wires and terminals drawn out for grounding.
When connecting the units to the power supply, be sure to ground the air dryers.-
1) Purpose of grounding
- (1) Prevention of electric shock accidents due to physical contact in case of earth faults and short circuits
- (2) Prevention and protection of equipment damage due to fault current or surge
- (3) Noise remove (prevent malfunction of PCB or controller)
-Low voltage noise causes malfunction of control PCB
-Surge causes damage to control PCB
-
1) Purpose of grounding
-
2) Proper grounding required
- (1) Leakage current on the grounding conductor in case of grounding fault
- (2) The signal level of the control PCB rises due to an increase in ground resistance, resulting in malfunction of the PCB or damage to the IC components.
- (3) Our air dryers have a ground added to the power terminal as shown in the picture below. Be sure to perform grounding work when connecting power. Be sure to ground the small capacity air dryers with only the power cable drawn out without a terminal block.
